A webinar on the application of the Belhar Confession for a diverse worshipping community has been designed for you!
This four-part series was recorded live at The Historic Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change ("The King Center") in Atlanta, GA. Each session was engaged as a stand-alone training. The series focused on the interpretation and application of the belief statement as a response to the challenging and diverse times in which we live.
Each training session was designed to:
- Model a way of holding conversations about race, gender, sexuality, and economic injustices through prophetic preaching/speaking.
- Provide resources to stimulate thinking and speaking about injustice in the context of faith and worship and, religious education.
- Illustrate the moral imperative to practice just living in community, in leadership, and in congregation.
